MAMP & MAMP PRO 1.8.1 released

We've just released a bugfix update of MAMP & MAMP PRO: Version 1.8.1 fixes three issues of MAMP 1.8.0:
  • Adds missing InnoDB support for MySQL
  • Fixes some PHP warnings on the MAMP WebStart page
  • The "How to upgrade" document (disk image) now shows the correct MAMP logo
This update is already available on our download page, don't hesitate to report any other bug you may find to our bugbase so we can fix it as quickly as possible.

  6. I keep getting a MySQL failure when trying to start up MAMP Pro.

    1045 access denied for 'user'@'localhost' using password.

    I can't set the password in MAMP Pro, but if I start it up with plain old MAMP I get no issues...

    This is a clean install - If I revert back (via Timemachine) to the original 1.72 installation I have no issues - tried all of the usual fixes but nothing :(

  7. Hi, thank you for your feedback. I've checked this. All preferences from the "Start/Stop" part of the preferences are not saved. I've redirected this bug to the development team to fix this.
