MAMP & MAMP PRO 1.8.3 released

Yesterday we released MAMP & MAMP PRO Version 1.8.3 (download page). We fixed the following issues:
  • Because of a bug in PHP 5.2.10 the PHP version was updated to PHP 5.2.11 (#3917, #3920)
  • Error on WebStart Page fixed (PHP example for MySQL connections contained an error) (#3909)
  • Connection to remote Database Servers with PHP function mysql_connect() is now working without configuring a port.

This update is already available on our download page, don't hesitate to report any other bug you may find to our bugbase so we can fix it as quickly as possible.

    The download works like a charm. What's your problem? You are using any download manager? Switch off.

    Server was failing half way through happened a couple times when downloading 1.8.3 with no download manager at all

    Hurray, MAMP is alive! I thought it's abandoned, but recently you releasining few updates at steady pace.

    Thank you!

    Needless to say that MAMP PRO is the best developer environement of it's kind on Mac. It has GD and Vhost manager is unbeatable.
