Your MAMP Team
LOVE YOUR SERVERS!

APC is not available with PHP 5.4.3 and several directives that have been removed from PHP are still present in the php.ini file
ReplyDeleteAPC is not included for PHP 5.4.3 because APC 3.1.10 with PHP 5.4 support ist still beta.
ReplyDeletePlease check this:
http://pecl.php.net/package/apc
http://pecl.php.net/package-changelog.php?package=APC&release=3.1.10
Cool to have php 5.4 but why is 5.3 PRO only? Most webhosts still have 5.3 so it might not always be a good idea to develop on 5.4.
ReplyDeleteI understand that it Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8) has not been released yet, but it will be released this month (July). Do you happen to know if MAMP Pro 2.1.0 will be compatible with Mountain Lion?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your efforts to make this so easy to do on a Mac.
MAMP PRO Version 2.1.0 is not compatible with Mountain Lion. The Apache server won't start anymore.
ReplyDeleteWORK AROUND: Start up MAMP using the MAMP application and not the MAMP PRO application.
Any better solution to start MAMP php application with custom hostname on port 80.
ReplyDeleteI found the solution by accident and all the others i found didn't work for me but i thought id share it as i was pulling my hair out trying to get it working again.
ReplyDeleteI had changed the apache directory to my own drive.
1. Stop servers
2. Open preferences and change the apache directory back to applications/mamp/htdocs
3. Hit ok and start servers. Should work at this stage.
4. If you want to use your own directory, stop servers and change it back.
5. Start Servers.
If you didn't have your own directory i would try it and change it to something else anyway to see if it works.
I know there are many problems out there but none of them worked for me.
Hope it helps.
I am wondering why PHP 5.3 requires pro now?
